About Me
My name is Mandy Crist and I am a Certified Veterinary Technician and dog trainer specializing in puppy socialization and play!
My passion for dogs started very early. I began training my family dog (a Great Dane named Dakota) in 4-H obedience at the age of 13 years old. During that time, I loved taking what I learned in class and teaching the neighbor kids and their dogs new tricks and training skills.
When I was 17, I worked at a doggy daycare and that experience started me on the path to become a veterinary technician. Since becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2005, I have worked with countless clients to help their dogs through stranger handling, vaccine pokes, and nail trims at the vet without needing sedation, a muzzle, or increased restraint.
In my transition to working with owners and their dogs as a dog trainer, the canine and human bond never ceases to amaze me. I prioritize teaching owners what their dog’s body language is saying, and then how to use that knowledge to help their dog feel confident and comfortable with training. I adapt all of my training to provide optimal support for different learning styles of both dogs and humans!
